Lodging Policy & Lodging Cancellation Policy 

 A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due on the date of check-in.

Cottage/Chalet bookings must give 30 days notice of cancellation in writing to receive a full deposit refund less a $20 administration fee (plus HST), or 10% of the pre-tax reservation amount (plus HST), whichever is greater. In the case of Chalet #12, The Big Chalet, the cancellation administration fee is $100 or 15% of the pre-tax reservation amount (plus HST), whichever is greater.

Cancellations in writing made 29-15 days before arrival date will forfeit 50% of the deposit.

Cancellations in writing made 14 days or less before arrival  will  forfeit 100% of the deposit.

Cancellations inside 24 hours, including no shows, will forfeit the deposit, and be charged the remaining balance in full.

Check-in time: 2 pm; Check-out time: 11 am.

Occupancy Policy

One bedroom cottage rates are based on double occupancy, with a max of 4 people allowed; two bedroom cottage rates are based on quad occupancy, with a max of 6 people allowed; five bedroom chalet based on 10 people, with a max of 16 people allowed; 1 bedroom 2 storey chalets based on quad occupancy, with max of 6 people allowed; 1 bedroom 1 storey (Hot Tub) chalet based on double occupancy, with a max of 4 people allowed. Additional persons in any building are are priced at $20.00 per person per day.

The Guest(s) understand that The Tidal Bore Rafting Resort may charge his or her credit card after departure for damage to the property, and/or for excessive cleaning fees, removal of strong scents, the washing of dishes, cutlery, and cookware, which are the responsibility of the guest. If guests do not park on the driveways and designated parking spaces you may be billed for lawn repair.  In other words, please make every reasonable effort to leave the cottage and grounds as you find  them!

The Guest(s) understand that the Resort is a NON SMOKING / VAPING FACILITY and that a cleaning / remediation fee of up to $2000 may be charged if the Guest(s) smokes or vapes any substance in a cottage or chalet. Smoking / vaping is permitted only in outdoor spaces.

Removal of contents from a cottage is subject to replacement fees.

Stays of 3 or more nights at any time will be discounted 10%. Children under 12 years old stay free (proof of age is required at checkin) Book a rafting tour and save 10% off cottage or chalet rental on the rafting day. Discounts may not be combined. Weekly and monthly rates available upon request.

Two-day minimum stay required on all long weekends, Christmas period (Dec 24 through Jan 1), and Nova Scotia March Break.

Pet Policy

In the spirit of offering a pet (dog) friendly resort, we reserve the right to deny entry, or remove any dog exhibiting aggressive behavior, as this may pose a threat to the many adults, small children, and other dogs which are on site. REGRETTABLY, WE DO NOT ALLOW PIT BULLS OR PIT BULL MIXED BREEDS. Please consider this before arrival!

While you and your pet are enjoying your time together, we ask that you please respect our pet policyTBRR is a dog friendly resort. Regrettably we do not allow cats onsite. You may bring up to 3 pets. We require and enforce responsible pet owner practices in consideration of our guests. Damage caused by pets to our buildings or facilities will be charged to your credit card within 48 hours of check out. Please see that pets stay off of the furniture. If, however, your pet is insistent on “hopping up”, please ensure you cover all furniture and bedding with sheets or blankets brought from home. Pets should at no time be left alone in your cottage/chalet unless you are using a dog crate.

Dog fees: a fee of $10 for 1 pet per day, $15 for 2 pets per day, or $20 for 3 pets per day, will be applied to your bill. Other pets such as fish, hamsters, bunnies do not attract charges.

Hot Tub Policy 

Maximum four people permitted, and only occupants of the Chalet 14 are permitted to use the Hot Tub. No food can be consumed in our Hot Tubs, and only beverages in plastic glasses are permitted. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not recommended. Limited time in the hot tub (ie. 15 minutes) is recommended, and lessens the chance of unintended hyperthermia or skin irritation from the disinfected water. Do not adjust the temperature or leave the cover off when the hot tub is not being used. Please do not leave outdoor lights on all night. If the Hot Tub is left in un-serviceable condition, including temperature turned down, spoiled / scummy water, or lowered water level, a charge for an extra nights rental will be immediately levied to your credit card if TBRR is unable to rent the Hot Tub Chalet to incoming guests.  Additionally, cleaning / refill / reheat charges will also be charged to your credit card. Please comply with the guidelines for hot tub usage posted in Chalet #14.

Rafting Cancellation Policy 

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your rafting booking. All cancellation and reservation changes must be in writing to info@raftingcanada.ca

Cancellations IN WRITING of the entire booking made greater than 10 days in advance of check in will be subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the pre tax amount, plus HST, or $20 plus HST, whichever is greater.

Cancellation IN WRITING for a portion of the booking made greater than 10 days in advance of check in will be subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the pre tax amount, plus HST, or $20 plus HST, whichever is greater, for only those rafters that have been cancelled.

A cancellation made IN WRITING less than 10 days from check in, to the entire booking or a change to less rafters, less than 10 days prior to check in, will forfeit the entire deposit for the whole booking or the deposits for only those rafters who are cancelled.

Cancellation inside 24 hours including No Shows will forfeit the deposit, and be charged the remaining balance in full.

Fundy Tides and Fireside Adventure

The Fundy Tides and Fireside Adventure is a limited enrollment program combining lodging, rafting, meals, and beverages.  Cancellations IN WRITING are required 10 days or more in advance of check in, and a fee of 15% of the pre tax value of the reservation is charged, plus tax.  Cancellations IN WRITING less than 10 days before check in will incur loss of deposit, normally 50% of the value of the reservation. Cancellations inside 24 hours, or no shows, are payable in full at check in time.

Weather Policy

If roads are open, so is the TBRR! We make every effort to plow and blow snow in order that the resort is safe and functional. In the event that Nova Scotia Transport closes Hwy 102 or Hwy 215 for more than 4 hours before and 4 hours after check in time, and you elect not to come to TBRR, the TBRR will issue you a rain check to be used in the next 180 days, for the deposit amount of your booking, normally 50% of the full charge. Unless there is a formal road closure our normal cancellation policy applies, and no shows will be charged in full for their booking since the space confirmed has been allocated exclusively to your reservation.
