Pack your plaid shirt and book into one of our cute and cozy cottages in the Nova Scotia countryside, just a short drive from Halifax.

The cottages offer a safe escape from daily life. Nestled in a natural treed setting along the bank of the Shubenacadie River, take a deep breath and smell the fresh and earthy scents of a Nova Scotia forest and marvel at the soaring bald eagles that call this river home.

After a winter hike on the trails, relax and enjoy the time by your private outdoor campfire, or cozy up in your cottage by the convenient propane fireplace.

The cottages all have full kitchens with everything you need for cooking and eating, so all you need to bring are your grocery items…and your friendly pooch because we are dog friendly.

Book any one or two-bedroom cottage or chalet and choose the HIGH TIDE SNACK BOX with your reservation.

Add a sweet and savoury snack box to enjoy in your cottage or take it outside for a winter picnic ($65 plus HST).

  • a “welcome” bottle of Nova Scotia Tidal Bay wine

  • mini charcuterie ingredients for 2 (locally sourced. where possible, assorted meats, cheeses, dips, chocolate, nuts and fruit)

  • hot chocolate fixings

  • campfire wood (one bundle delivered), marshmallows and marshmallow sticks
